Made ya look.

I’m not trying to anger all of you out there, but when it comes to business, men want to be in control, while women are the nurturers and consensus builders.

Isn’t that what’s drummed into our heads day in and day out!

Similarly, more women than men, 28 percent to 23 percent, allow employees and associates to participate in business decisions.”"

That's a 5% difference on both issues, is that really a big difference? another way to look at it is that roughly three quarters of both men and women make most the decisions. Same thing as roughly 1/4 of both men and women allow employees to participate in decision making.

It just seems that the numbers are too close together and there is too much of a generalization for the headline and the points that its making. What's the error % in the polling numbers?

Anyone else?

Male entrepreneurs are control freaks, women are wimps

"men want to be in control, while women are the nurturers and consensus builders."

Hogwash. My problem with a lot of men I want to work with is that they want to have a lot of "feel good" conference calls and meetings where nothing gets accomplished but the good ol boys massaging each other's egos. I want to quit wasting time and get stuff done.

Male entrepreneurs are control freaks, women are wimps

I am sick and tired of working for other women! It always ends up being just like high school where the pretty and popular girls run the show and the awkward girls get left out. When men are in charge, I always know where I stand - very straightforward. But when women are in charge, it's all about back-stabbing and who is part of the right clique. I'm SO tired of that crap.

Male entrepreneurs are control freaks, women are wimps

This article is dumb and contains no facts! A five percent variance in "poll data" about decision making says nothing, except that most of us like to make decisions on our own. Who is more entrepreneurial - male or female.
2. Types of managerial styles - men & women.
I can't address #1 but I can speak from my own experience on #2. I have been in the work force for over 25 years and had a variety of managers both male & female. On the whole, I will take a male manager any day over a female because the male is much more flexible whereas a female is more attuned to the details which can lead to being a control freak over every aspect of your life.

Male entrepreneurs are control freaks, women are wimps

As a woman and a business owner I feel like I'm in control of my own life but at the same time I have more time for family and friends.(sort of)One thing I know as a woman, is that I am very easy going with Mom's that want to work during school hours only. In fact I love it. I have great ladies working and can leave in time to pick up their kids. I think women can balance things very well and are great multi-taskers.

Male entrepreneurs are control freaks, women are wimps

Many men are control freaks. I steer clear of them in business and in my personal life. What educated, skilled, professional woman wants to have someone else, male or female, make decisions for them! I'm a female entrepreneur, and I like to think that I'm not controlling. I believe others have much to contribute, and encouraging them, cultivating an atmosphere of creativity and welcoming their ideas while also setting high standards is the best way to achieve high levels of success.

Male entrepreneurs are control freaks, women are wimps

Thanks for the information. As a woman-owned, small business I borrowed from family and friends. I leveraged every asset I had and I refinanced my home multiple times. Fortunately these creative financing opportunities allowed me to create a growing business. Now I need additional financing to purchase office furniture and data center equipment. In addition to SBA Loans I have found several discount office furniture businesses that will provide attractive financing on the entire package of desks and data cabinets. I suggest you explore each one before decide to sign up for the deal.
